it's easy to not feel their pain when we are numb

sit for a second and really imagine this...

being bred or captured and placed into a real life hell...a place where you are considered property and are treated like an inanimate object.  your owners ignore the fact that you breathe and feel just as they do and that you have a beating heart just like theirs.  the only difference is that their hearts are cruel and cold.

you have a natural longing to be wild and free, in your natural habitat with your peers where you can experience life as it should be (pictured below).

but it's only a longing, and it will never be a reality.  your reality is that of a slave...performing meaningless, unnatural and degrading tricks for the entertainment of others, being prodded with painful hooks, and experiencing deprivation in all forms.  you live a life in chains.

but lucky for you, it is just in your imagination.  this is their reality and they can never leave.

you vote with your pocketbook.  if you buy tickets to animal circuses, you are taking part in this chain of abuse.

teach compassion to your children, patronize animal free circuses, and if you'd like, join us for the ringling brothers protest this Wednesday January 26th at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham (6:30-7:30pm)

"Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the caterpillar."
~Bradley Millar

"The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity.  Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality."
~Schopenhauer
